The BBT, in collaboration with ISKCON communications and other partners, has begun a strategic effort to broaden the reach and effectiveness of Internet-based outreach through Krishna.com and related web sites.
We are committed to using the power of the Internet to increase the number of souls coming to Krishna consciousness.
For this mission, we are looking for a devotee to take on the role of Senior Editor for our Internet initiatives.
We are seeking someone who is eager to be a leading member of our mission to reach people everywhere with Srila Prabhupada’s message and who either already has the experience and skills for this service or who has the talent and willingness to learn and grow into the service.
This service calls for strong writing and editorial skills, web content experience and knowledge of content strategy, interactive marketing approaches, and usability theory and practices.
This person will be responsible for overseeing all editorial content for our websites including setting strategy and creative objectives, establishing a consistent style & voice, developing story ideas, and defining a standard process for workflow.
It is a challenging job for anyone and so we are simultaneously creating a team to work with and organizing support for training and learning “on the job.”
We strongly prefer someone who can reside in Alachua, FL, where our headquarters for this effort are. But, as the work we are doing is Internet-based we can be flexible on where this person resides. We are also flexible on the amount of time commitment, though we prefer a full-time person.
We are prepared to compensate this devotee. A mutually agreeable stipend would be based on specific personal needs and our budget.
